Sofia is a charming host and this is a fabulous place.
The pool and the grounds in particular absolutely first rate and the house is large and spacious with a delightful terrace. One of the best villas I’ve ever stayed in. I would not hesitate to return.

It was a great property for our week-long trip to Portugal with a family of 11. Sofia was very organized and helpful in the weeks leading up to our stay. Upon arrival we found a basket with food to see us through the first evening. Furthermore, we celebrated a birthday there and Sofia proved invaluable in recommending a local musician, a cake shop, and a person to do the catering for that night. Overall, I did not expect that we'd be spending so much time at the property. However, the pool, the terrace, the separate buildings, the lovely kitchen and the garden were just so pleasant and tempting to hang out in -- we had to make the most of that :-) !! While it is a bit off the beaten track, Tavira and the beach are not too far away either. We'd go back to Casa do Sul in a heartbeat!

Sofia was an amazing hostess! She personally met us for check-in, explained everything in detail and checked in with us throughout our stay to see if there was anything we needed. The house was so well appointed: everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, completely comfortable rooms, beautiful landscaping. Despite the weather not cooperating for several days, we were sill able to enjoy our lovely surroundings. We would totally return!

Casa Du Sol is a beautiful place and Sofia a great host. It felt like a paradise being able to eat figs, almonds, grapes en lemons from the garden. We had a wonderful two weeks. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Casa do sul is a true paradise. It worked perfectly for our family of 8 adults and 2 children. We were there in the hot July, and we really enjoyed cooling off in the pool and having dinners at the big table on the terrace. Sofia is a great host and answered fast all our questions before and during our stay. I can highly recommend a vacation at Casa do sul, and I hope to come back sometime.

The house was very stylish and kitchen very well equipped, it is in a quiet rural setting. We just wanted to relax and it suited us perfectly. Our teenagers were in and out of the pool all day and there was wifi and netflix which kept them happy when they needed to get out of the sun for a while. Super markets were just 5-10 minutes along the road in Tavira and had everything we needed.

My family stayed at the Casa for the month of May 2017. During this time we had 3 children - 9,7 and 2 years and 5 adults. Sofia is an exceptionally welcoming and responsive host who did everything to make us comfortable. The house and garden have been beautifully created and are authentically Portuguese. House and bedroom are all very comfortable and the bed linens are wonderful and colourful. The kitchen is exceptionally equipped. The Casa is in a very private countryside but there are beautiful beaches and interesting towns just a drive away. The countryside is also beautiful and is generally very peaceful where the Casa is located. There are farms in the area and dogs barking during day and nite will sometimes interrupt the peacefulness. A car is needed and great grocery store is in driving distance.

Casa do Sul is a perfect place for a large group/ family gathering to rest & relax. We spent a week there & made great use of the pool & gardens. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for gourmet meals, etc. Tastefully decorated & well maintained, there is plenty of space to gather over a meal or read a book in a quieter corner. We enjoyed visiting nearby beaches, Santo Estevao, Tavira & Santa Luzia (Polvo & Co specialists in Octopus but also serves an excellent range, recommend). Will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic week at Casa do Sul. The villa has a great location and is the best equipped rental property that we have used. Sofia's directions from the airport were excellent and she was there to meet us and show us around. Sofia even arranged a sunny and dry week in late September for us. If only she could have organised for the construction work at Faro airport to have been completed then our holiday would have been perfect :-). Many thanks from 10 very happy travellers.
